Mobokey tracks the location of the cars without using an inbuilt GPS device. As we discuss car sharing, the most important thing that Mobokey provides is the location of the car. How does Mobokey track car location
Mobokey uses a Parked location for the owner and the driver both. With Mobokey, the owner can track the location of his car until it is shared. And once the car access period expires the location is updated on the app using the GPS of the phone. Since the GPS is installed on the smartphone, we do not have to worry about them taking the location, with a separate GPS and increasing the cost for customers.
The device makes sure that the internet of the renter is on. And the location is updated every 30 seconds on the servers. And if the location is not being updated, the device waits for 10 tries. Car security is active if the regular is not validated from the internet.

How to check the last parked location
On the main screen, you can find the button for the Last Parked Location. If you want to look at the parked location, you can simply tap on the screen and navigate to the car’s parked location.
The owner can easily check the location of the cars in the “Shared by Me” section and similarly, the user can check the location on the main screen as well as the “Shared with Me” section in the app. You can read more about the last parked location here: Mobokey’s Car Sharing with Last Parked Location
